What is GACHMAT?

GACHMAT or heat-insulating bricks (cool ceramic bricks) are a new heat-resistant product that has been introduced in recent years. However, this material is developing very strongly due to its structure and many outstanding advantages. As the name suggests, cool bricks are used for wall cladding, ceiling cladding, flooring, wall lining, etc. to help cool your home space.

Thanks to the production of advanced and modern technology according to European standards, cool bricks are a green material, very friendly to the environment and safe for the health of users. Moreover, this product is also very suitable for the climate conditions of our country, so it is trusted by many users.

Structure of GACHMAT

GACHMAT or insulation bricks are a type of material consisting of 3 parts. Including 2 layers of special cement on the 2 outside sides and PU (Polyurethane) sheet material in the middle. These are all materials with low thermal conductivity index, providing extremely good insulation ability.

Advantages and disadvantages of GACHMAT

If you are wondering whether to use this type of cooling brick or not, please refer to the advantages and disadvantages of insulation bricks below.

Advantages

- Good insulation:  This is one of the materials with the lowest insulation index among the materials on the market today.

+ The heat transfer coefficient of this material is only 0.019 - 0.023 Kcal/mh°C.

+ Minimum thickness 20mm

+ Using cool bricks will limit heat absorption, helping your building stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

- Good sound insulation:  Heat-resistant bricks are composed of many air holes evenly distributed throughout the entire brick.

=> Therefore, the sound insulation ability of this material can reach 27 dB or more, keeping the space always quiet.

- Good waterproof and moisture resistance: Heat-resistant bricks have a closed cell structure, the water absorption rate of the brick is only 36.5g/cm2, providing effective waterproofing ability.

=> Limits osmosis, avoids affecting the structure, helps the project to be more durable.

- High durability:  This type of heat-resistant brick uses durable materials such as PU core and cement through a modern production process to create high compressive strength.

=> Thanks to that, the brick will not be deformed by thermal effects from the environment.

- Super light weight: GACHMAT are light weight, allowing to reduce up to 50% of the construction load.

=> Because of this advantage, transportation and construction are very convenient.

- Environmentally friendly:  Cool bricks use safe materials, produced on modern, advanced production lines, do not contain Hydrochlorofluorocarbon which affects the ozone layer, so they are very environmentally friendly.

Disadvantages

In addition to the above advantages, GACHMAT also have some disadvantages such as:

- Ability to withstand large forces and poor impact.

+ Due to its light weight and being made from PU, if heavy objects are often placed on the tile, it will easily break or crack, significantly reducing its quality.

- The ability to absorb and transmit sound on the surface is not as high as other specialized materials.

Application of GACHMAT in construction

With the above outstanding advantages GACHMAT or heat-resistant bricks are becoming more and more popular. Below are some applications of this material that you can refer to in order to make the right choice for your project:

- Used as partitions for temporary housing, soundproof walls for restaurants, commercial buildings, offices, karaoke rooms, recording studios, etc.

- This material can also be used for ceiling lining, flat roof ceiling cladding, and drop ceiling cladding to increase heat resistance and aesthetics for the project.

- Heat-resistant bricks are used for outdoor wall cladding, helping the heat from the sun not affect the house walls. From there, keep the air in the interior space always cool.

- Use heat-resistant bricks to keep the temperature stable for cold storage to preserve food.
