Jotun Penguard HB Red is a 2-component epoxy paint with high molecular weight, cured with polyamide. Designed as a multi-purpose paint that can be applied at high thickness for new construction projects. Can be used as a primer, midcoat, finish coat or as a single coat system in atmospheric and immersed environments. Suitable for use as a coating on well prepared surfaces of carbon steel, aluminium, galvanized steel, temporary anti-rust painted steel, stainless steel, concrete and hot galvanized surfaces.

Suitable for steel structures and piping systems in low to very high corrosive environments and immersed environments. Recommended for use in offshore environments, refineries, power plants, bridges, high-rise buildings and mining equipment.

Spray form: Use an anaerobic paint sprayer (airless spray).
Brush/brush: Recommended for corner and small area patchwork. Be careful to achieve the specified dry thickness.

Drying and curing times are determined under controlled temperature conditions and relative humidity below 85%, and at the average dry film thickness of the product.
Surface dry: the drying stage where when lightly pressed on the paint film, it will not leave fingerprints or feel sticky.
Walkable dry: the minimum time before a paint film can withstand being walked on without leaving marks or damage.
Dry to apply the next coat, minimum: the shortest recommended time before the next coat can be applied.
Dry/curing for use: minimum time before the paint film can be fully exposed to the use environment/medium.

Product Compatibility

Storage
This industrial paint product needs to be stored according to each country's safety regulations. Store the product in a cool, dry place with good ventilation, away from heat sources and ignition devices. Product containers must be tightly closed. Transport carefully.
