Jotun Tankguard Storage industrial paint is a 2-component phenolic/novolac epoxy paint cured with polyamine. This product is a paint specifically designed for tank interior surfaces with excellent chemical resistance. Can be used as a primer, midcoat or finish coat in atmospheric and immersed environments. Suitable as a coating on well prepared surfaces of carbon steel, concrete, galvanized steel and stainless steel.
Uses
Industrial: Specifically designed as a tank coating for offshore, onshore, buried tanks and pipelines, such as chemical, waste water, process water, concrete dykes, fire hydrants and drilling mud tanks. Can be used in pressurized tanks. This coating has excellent resistance to a wide range of high temperature media. Refer to the Industrial Chemical Resistance List.

Construction method
Spray form: Use an anaerobic paint sprayer (airless spray).
Brush: Recommended for small area and edge patching work. Take care to achieve specified dry film thickness.
Roller: Rollers should only be used for drain holes, technological holes, small pipes, etc.

Drying and curing times are determined under controlled temperature conditions and relative humidity below 85%, and at the average dry film thickness of the product.
Surface dry: the dry stage where when lightly pressed on the paint film, it will not leave fingerprints or feel sticky.
Walkable dry: the minimum time before a paint film can withstand being walked on without leaving marks or damage.
Dry to overcoat, minimum: the shortest recommended time before the next coat can be applied.
Dry/cured for use: minimum time before the paint film can be completely exposed to the medium/use environment.

Maximum peak heat resistance time is 1 hour. The temperatures listed above relate to protection only. The aesthetic performance of the paint film will be affected at these temperatures.
Depending on the actual environment the paint system will be exposed to, a variety of primers and topcoats can be used in combination with this product. Please contact your nearest Jotun dealer for further details.

– Storage: This product must be stored according to the safety regulations of each country. Store the product in a dry, cool place, combined with good ventilation, away from heat sources and fire-generating equipment. The product container must be tightly closed. Transport carefully.

This product should only be applied by a specialist contractor. The contractor must have the training, experience, ability and equipment to apply this product correctly and in accordance with Jotun's technical procedures. The contractor must wear suitable personal protective equipment when using this product. This guidance is based on the current knowledge of the product. Any changes to suit site conditions must be approved by the Jotun Representative before proceeding.
Please follow the precautions on the paint container label. Use in a well-ventilated area. Do not breathe paint dust. Avoid direct contact with skin. In case of skin contact, wash immediately with a cleaning solution, soap and water. Rinse eyes with water and seek medical attention immediately.
When the product is an anti-rust or anti-fouling primer, the paint film may vary slightly in color from batch to batch. These products may fade and chalk when exposed to sunlight and outdoor weather.
